About Facts Brief
Facts Brief is a daily email for people who like knowing how things work and where a fact comes from. Each issue is a short read of facts and explainers on things worth knowing, with the source for every claim linked so you can check it yourself.
What we are trying to do
We want to be the one briefing you can rely on. That means no partisan spin and no padding: the facts, the sources, and a short explanation of why they matter. Facts Brief has no house viewpoint.
Who publishes it
Facts Brief is published by LetterHouseMedia, a publisher of email newsletters. It is one of several newsletters from LetterHouseMedia, and the others are listed on the Facts Brief home page.
How it is made
Our newsroom is AI-assisted. Issues are drafted with AI models, and every factual sentence is then broken into claims and checked against the cited sources by an automated process. The full description is on our editorial standards page.
Where things stand
Facts Brief has not sent its first issue yet, and signups are not open. When an issue is sent, it will appear in the archive. If we get something wrong, we will say so on the corrections page.
